But first, let me explain why this page exists, how it all started, and what you can expect next.
I launched this site back in 2018 with the goal of promoting myself as a freelance programmer (I've been programming since 2002). As it goes, I researched what is sought on Google Search and concluded that "Izrada web sajtova" (Websites development) is in demand. The first attempt was (and the page still exists) to create a dedicated page that would talk about my engagement in web development. However, for 2 full years, that page failed to break into even the fifth page of Google search. Before all this, I noticed that when you search for something in English, there is always a page among the first results that starts with TOP 10 or TOP 20 of what you are looking for. I thought I could do something similar specifically for the term "Izrada web sajtova" (Websites development) and see if that is really the case or not. To make it meaningful, I included: PageSpeed Insights (web.dev) and Nu Html Checker (w3.org) which gave me numbers to work with for analysis.
The first analysis I did was in 2020 and very quickly the page was lifted to the 3rd page of Google search. I named the page "Top 20 companies for web development in Serbia (month year)". Sometimes it is difficult to work on a site that does not bring you direct benefits, so I took a break and skipped 2021. However, in January 2022, I opened Google search, searched for "Izrada web sajtova" (Websites development) and to my surprise, the page reached 24th place in Google search! For me, it was a great success and the continuation of the life of this page, which reached its peak during 2023, reaching the first place in Google search. The latest and current analysis is for the year 2026. Until 2025 the page was on dejandozet.com; together with the blog it has moved to programiranje.co.rs.
This page will not give you experiences with any of the companies, but it will give you a concise overview of the best-ranked companies for web development in Serbia on Google search (2020-2026) with included details that are otherwise not visible.

- on the date 09/30/2026 (latest),
- based on data obtained from Google search (Google SERP) in Google Chrome browser,
- location for the search was Krunska, Belgrade,
- keyword "Izrada web sajtova" (Websites development).
- performance analysis (PageSpeed index) is based on the homepage, not necessarily the page that achieved the position in Google search
- the table has 19 companies, because cds.rs appears twice in the top 20 (positions 5 and 11),
- domain age is taken from the domain registries (RNIDS whois / RDAP).

Analysis of Web Developers' Table for 2026
Performance of Top Web Developers' Sites for 2026
The average performance is 62, the best is 93 (websajtizrada.rs), and the worst is 36. Compared to 2025, the average is almost the same (63 → 62). As in previous years, the home page of each site was measured, in the mobile view.
- 0 to 49 (slow site): 6/19 = 32%
- 50 to 89 (average speed): 12/19 = 63%
- 90 to 100 (fast site): 1/19 = 5%
Website speed depends on many factors. Based on my experience with website speed optimization, the most significant ones are large and numerous images that are not optimized (resized in pixels) and excessive use of external JavaScript and CSS files. Note that with external scripts, a site will be slower on first load.
The chart shows that speed alone does not decide the position: websajtizrada.rs scores 93 and is third, while izradawebsajta.co.rs scores 36 and is second. Hover over or tap a circle to see the site name and score.
Errors in HTML/CSS and JavaScript Code for 2026
There are no categories to group the results here, so we simply show whose code is error-free and whose has at least one error:

This year only 1 of 19 sites has error-free code, while in 2025 there were 5 of 20. Google does not list HTML validity as a ranking factor, but error-free code is a good sign of a carefully built site.
Domain Age for 2026
Domain age can affect a position in the SERP (search results), but it is not a decisive factor. Content relevance, website optimization and the quality of backlinks matter much more. This year the domain registration dates were taken from the domain registries (RNIDS whois for .rs domains, RDAP for others).

In short:
Website speed is almost the same as in 2025: the average performance is 62 (2025: 63), and only 1 of 19 sites scores above 90 on PageSpeed Insights.
Only 1 of 19 top web development companies has error-free code, which is worse than in 2025.
The list has changed a lot: 12 of 19 sites are new compared to 2025, and izrada-web-sajta.rs is first for the second year in a row.
Last year this page, then on dejandozet.com, was in position 3. This year, after moving to programiranje.co.rs, it is in position 92, even though it has a performance score of 99 and error-free code.
Since last year Google has been using artificial intelligence more and more in search: it shows AI Overviews above the results, and AI plays a growing role in how results are selected and ranked. Some things have changed because of that, and it is a possible cause of such big changes in the list, including this page's drop. For this page, another possible cause is the move to a new domain.
